For a handful of years, the pandemic has pushed us to be creative in the way we observe and celebrate our customs and traditions, and for the first time since 2019, the Sacred Heart community was able to gather in person to ring in the Advent Season in the warmth of Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica.
Led primarily by students, the Service celebrated the hope, faith, joy, and peace that the Advent candles represent. We were inspired by words, music, and prayer, and as our Head of School, Dennis Phillips said, hopeful that our Advent wishes help dispel the darkness with light.
A big thank you to our Liturgy Committee, our student leaders, our musical leaders and musicians, and all those who donated their time and dedication to making this such a triumphant and joyful return. It was a joyful way to start this special season.
